VRM01 sind Axialdichtungsringe, die aus zwei Teilen bestehen, einem Metallring mit einer Schutzbeschichtung und einem vulkanisierten Elastomer-Dichtelement.

Der Metallring schützt das Elastomer vor Beschädigungen, dient als Auflage für den Elastomerring und wirkt gleichzeitig als Zentrifuge. Der Elastomerring ist nicht geklebt, sondern über den Metallring gespannt und wird von diesem zusätzlich axial gehalten.

VRM-Axialdichtringe werden hauptsächlich in Kombination mit Radialwellendichtringen eingesetzt. Sie werden als modulare, in Reihe geschaltete Dichtelemente eingesetzt, um das Eindringen von Schmutz, Staub und Wasser von außen zu verhindern.
