The one-way valve is a device that is placed on systems requiring fluid control, with the aim of inducing flow in one direction only.

Actuated directly by the fluid flowing through it, it is normally used as a safety device, allowing a part of the circuit to be kept under pressure while draining the supply. The opening pressure of the valve is 1 bar in the standard version.

One-way valves make it possible to stop the oil flow in one direction and make it free in the opposite direction. Having a spring inside, they are also often called non-return valves. Reverse flow is blocked by the presence of sealing systems such as conical plugs or balls held in the closed position by coil springs or by the hydraulic pressure itself. The spring setting determines the preload force and thus the opening pressure.
