La junta TPD se ha diseñado y desarrollado específicamente para montarse en una ranura cerrada de un pistón de una pieza. Consta de cuatro elementos que se integran entre sí para proporcionar un sistema de estanquidad para los requisitos más particulares. El anillo de empuje de caucho está perfectamente acoplado al anillo de estanquidad de poliuretano, que produce una carga radial al entrar en contacto con la presión, actuando directamente sobre el anillo de estanquidad. El elemento de poliuretano garantiza una buena resistencia al desgaste y un bajo coeficiente de fricción. Los dos anillos de poliacetal que completan la junta TPD garantizan un guiado perfecto del elemento de estanquidad, evitando así el peligro de extrusión.
