HP plugs are designed to fit holes with a total diameter tolerance of -O / + 01 mm. This tolerance is achieved by a simple drilling operation.
They consist of one piece for quick and easy installation. Installation is achieved by simply pushing the steel ball into the sleeve, allowing the sleeve to expand; the grooves press into the material in the surrounding hole, providing a reliable, anchorable seal of up to 270Mpa.
These simple instructions must be followed when installing HP expansion plugs:
1-Drill the installation hole to the recommended diameter with a normal drilling operation. Additional reaming is NOT NECESSARY
2-Check the installation hole with the correct depth, diameter and verify that it is free of cutting oil, grease and machining residues
3-Place an HP expansion plug in the hole so that it touches the bottom
4-Using the correct installation tool, press the HP plug into the hole. The ball must be pressed into the sleeve below or flush with the edge. The correct tolerance is O/ -0.25 mm
5-Fixed or portable pneumatic or hydraulic tools can be used for serial production
6-HP expansion plugs provide reliable performance and high pressure resistance. Periodic pressure tests must be carried out to verify that installation is correctly executed
