They are used when oil flow regulation is needed in both directions, it is not pressure compensated and consequently regulation will depend on the operating pressure, fluid viscosity and operating temperature. They are manufactured in various sizes with threads from 1/4 BSPP (1/4 G) up to 1 BSPP (1 G). Adjustment is made by turning the knob clockwise or vice versa. The outer body is made of high-strength steel and is protected externally against oxidation with a galvanising treatment. A zinc/nickel surface treatment can be requested to increase oxidation resistance, in case the valve is poorly protected and exposed to the weather, for example.
