VRM02 are axial sealing rings that consist of two parts, a metal ring with a protective coating and a vulcanised elastomer sealing element.

The metal ring protects the elastomer from damage, serves as a support for the elastomer ring and simultaneously acts as a centrifuge. The elastomer ring is not glued but pulled over the metal ring and is additionally held axially by it.

With VRM02 the metal ring is extended in the axial direction on the outer diameter. This creates an additional labyrinth seal in combination with the circular groove in the sliding surface.

VRM axial sealing rings are mainly used in combination with rotary shaft seals. They are applied as modular sealing elements mounted in series to prevent the ingress of dirt, dust and water from outside.
